Kay Morrison

As Chief Executive of Glasgow Life, Kay is Glasgow’s strategic lead for culture, events and active living.

An accomplished leader, she has a track record of strategic vision, partnership development and more than 20 years’ experience working across Scotland’s culture and leisure sector. She is also a valued member of Glasgow City Council’s Corporate Leadership Team.

Kay joined Glasgow Life in July 2025 from her role as Chief Executive of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLCC), having previously led leisure and culture services across Falkirk, Aberdeenshire and East Lothian.

A passionate advocate for inclusion and reducing inequalities, Kay has been recognised for her commitment to enhancing community wellbeing through the power of culture and sport as well as her contribution to developing national policy and direction for the sector.

She has a deep understanding of the vital role Glasgow Life plays across the city’s communities and is committed to ensuring culture, events and active living are a force for good at the heart of a thriving, inclusive, accessible, and resilient Glasgow.

Kay’s experience, knowledge and networks make her the ideal person to lead Glasgow Life into a new chapter as the charity looks to an ambitious future and to helping more people lead happier and healthier lives.
