Márton Gyulai

Position: CEO, Budapest 2023 Bid Committee and Executive Director, Sport and Trade Hungary

Marton Gyulai is the CEO behind the 2023 IAAF World Championships bid of the Hungarian Athletics Association, a position he has held since July 2018.

Budapest was awarded the right to host the 2023 World Athletics Championships in December 2018.

Before taking on this role, he was Secretary General of the Hungarian Athletics Association from Feb 2008 to Jul 2018.

In June 2015 he founded Sport and Trade Hungary, which is involved in bidding for, subcontracting to and organising major events of all sizes.

He has been a Council Member of European Athletics since April 2015.

As an athlete, he competed in bobsled in the Salt Lake City 2002 and Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games.

He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2001 with a degree in International Government.
