Position: Co-founder and CEO, Super League Triathlon
After an early career spent working in the automotive industry for Volkswagen helping to establish a new plant in China, Michael D’hulst was bitten by the triathlon bug.
He spent a year as a full-time athlete pursuing one of the sport’s ultimate goals of qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.
Having achieved his target, Michael founded a new long-distance triathlon event in Taiwan, partnering with the Challenge Family.
He also became Director of Sports at the high performance Thanyapura Sports and Leisure Club in Thailand where he met Chris McCormack, a four-time triathlon world champion.
The pair helped to set-up the successful Bahrain Endurance professional triathlon team before seeing the opportunity to develop a new, fast and exciting version of the sport, co-founding Super League Triathlon with Russian tech investor Leonid Boguslavsky.
